iLabs – Immortality Research Laboratories – is a multidisciplinary private research institute in Milan (Italy), working mainly on scientific, technological and philosophical issues related to the extension of human life-span.

iLabs were founded in 1977 by Antonella Canonico and Gabriele Rossi, with the strong conviction that extending indefinitely human life is a real possibility. Any project, any achievement of these years has been characterized by true independence, on the economical side as well as on the methodological one. We do believe that only using a multidisciplinary approach to the “Human System” we will finally overcome its complexity, understanding how to contrast ageing and enhance its capabilities. Furthermore, iLabs main credo is that science is just a part of any society prepared to live potentially forever: it is just combining scientific innovation with a firm philosophical stance on ethics, esthetics, and society as a whole that we will be able to accomplish the task without inefficiency.

iLabs long standing commitment to research and innovation witnesses our passion, and the projects that are being developed are a vivid expression of iLabs philosophy and exemplify our intimate need to realize everyday something concrete.

Recently, “Semi-Immortality” has been published in Italy. The provocative book celebrates thirty years of studies, clearly illustrating iLabs vision – science, philosophy and technology – for the future of mankind.
